Dear Tiffany Sprague,
I am writing in regards to the Assistant Editor position at Yale Art Gallery. I am immensely excited about this opportunity to join such a prestigious and well-renowned institution.
As an assistant editor, I would be responsible for a wide range of duties including copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking exhibition catalogs and other gallery publications. I would also collaborate with designers and printers to ensure the highest quality finished product. In addition, I would be responsible for assisting the senior editor with various projects as needed.
I am confident that I have the skills and experience necessary to excel in this role. I have a Bachelor's degree in English from a top university and I have several years of experience working as a proofreader and copy editor. I am extremely detail-oriented and I have a strong eye for spotting errors. I am also highly organized and I have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
I am passionate about art and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with such a renowned institution. I am confident that I would be an asset to the Yale Art Gallery and I look forward to contributing to your publications.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Meghan Gilligan
