My name is Ketul and I am currently working as a Surveillance Medical Officer at the WHO Unit in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh, with an additional charge of two units, Maharaj Ganj and Sant Kabir Nagar. I have come across this opportunity through my extensive research and I am highly motivated to apply for this role. Having worked in the field of public health for several years now, I have developed a comprehensive skill set and gained extensive experience in the realm of immunization, vaccine preventable diseases surveillance, and effective response to different health programs. I have been fortunate enough to work with a diverse team of professionals, which has allowed me to hone my skills and expertise. At my current role, I have been in charge of three high priority districts and two Gavi districts, where I have provided substantial leadership and support to the WHO-NPSN. This has involved leading a team of 40 members spread across the three districts. As part of my responsibilities, I have been actively involved in strengthening routine immunization and VPD surveillance, including microplanning and capacity building of the health workforce from ASHA workers to district-level officials. Furthermore, I have been actively contributing to the WHO-NPSN by providing valuable insights and recommendations for improving the overall health outcomes in these areas. I am proud to say that I have completed my postgraduation in Community Medicine, which has further enhanced my knowledge and skills in this field. My core areas of interest include non-communicable diseases, RMNCAH (reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health), mental health, and immunization. With my strong academic background and practical experience, I am confident that I possess the necessary skills and expertise to excel in the role of a Technical Officer at the WHO. After researching about the World Health Organization, I am highly impressed with the organization's commitment to improving global health and its strong values of equity, integrity, and respect for diversity.
