Dear Susan Opper, I am writing to apply for the position of Assistant District Attorney with the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I double majored in psychology and criminal justice. I have a strong interest in legal research and writing, and have experience with motion and brief work, case investigation, and demand letters. I am a hard worker with a strong interest in the prosecution of criminal cases. I am a quick learner, and have the ability to think critically and solve problems. I am also a strong communicator, both written and oral. I am confident that I can be an asset to your office, and would be a dedicated and enthusiastic member of your team. I am interested in this particular position because of the opportunity it would provide to work on a variety of cases. I am also attracted to the idea of working in a small office, where I would have the opportunity to learn from more experienced prosecutors.
