Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to apply for the Registered Nurse position at the Vancouver Infectious Diseases Centre. I am a recent graduate of the nursing program at Vancouver General Hospital and have experience working in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical, pediatrics, and obstetrics. I am confident that I have the skills and experience necessary to be a successful nurse in your organization. Some of the skills I have that would be relevant to this position include cardiac monitor and telemetry monitoring and interpretation, phlebotomy, administration of medications, injections and vaccinations/immunizations through a variety of different routes, physical and mental health assessments, simple and complex wound care, STD screening and treatment. I am a quick learner and have a strong interest in infectious diseases, which I believe would make me an asset to your team. I am available to start immediately and am open to full-time or part-time work. I am also willing to relocate to Vancouver if necessary.
