It is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to apply for the position of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at UNV. My name is Keashav Khadka and I am confident that my skills and experience make me a perfect fit for this role. First and foremost, I have over 8 years of practical clinical working experience in health assistance, which has given me a deep understanding of the healthcare system and its challenges. Additionally, I have 3 years of practical working experience in public health, which has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the importance of planning, monitoring and evaluating health programs. In my previous role as a Public Health Officer, I have been responsible for conducting promotive, supportive, and preventive health programs, as well as coordinating with various government bodies. I have also been actively involved in the micro-planning of vaccination programs, including the current COVID-19 program.
What I find most inspiring about this particular position at UNV is the opportunity to work on a global level and make a meaningful impact in the lives of people around the world. I am particularly drawn to the focus on monitoring and evaluating programs, as I strongly believe that effective monitoring and evaluation are crucial for the success of any project. I am eager to bring my skills and experience to this role and help improve the health outcomes of communities in need.
I am also impressed by UNV's commitment to promoting volunteerism and building partnerships with local organizations. This aligns perfectly with my own values and beliefs. I have always been passionate about giving back to my community and have actively volunteered in various health programs. I believe that true change can only be achieved through collaboration and I am eager to work with UNV and its partners to create lasting impact and sustainable change.
In terms of my skills, I am well-versed in conducting monitoring, supervision, coordination, and logistical management of health programs. I have a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting, and I am confident in my ability to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. I have also been actively involved in responding to public health emergencies such as Dengue, Cholera, and Conjunctivitis outbreaks, which has honed my ability to work under pressure and make quick and effective decisions. Furthermore, my experience in facilitating various health programs such as TB, HIV, Nutrition, Immunization, safe motherhood, RTA, and NCDs has given me a comprehensive understanding of public health and its various components.
As a full-time role, I am fully committed to dedicating my time and energy to this position. I am highly motivated and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the success of any project. Furthermore, my location preference is Ethiopia, specifically Addis Ababa, as I am eager to work in a diverse and dynamic environment and contribute to the development of the country.
