My name is Keashav Khadka and I am thrilled to apply for this role, as it aligns perfectly with my passion for public health and my extensive experience in the field. I have had the privilege of working as a public health officer at the Kathmandu Health office in Nepal, under the Government of Nepal. This experience has not only honed my skills in the field, but it has also given me a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the public health sector. In addition to this, I have also worked as a public health officer at UNDP for 28 months, based in the Kathmandu district. This role has allowed me to work closely with communities and local stakeholders, and I have had the opportunity to implement various health programs and initiatives. One of my most rewarding experiences has been my work with the HIV/AIDS and TB program in prison settings. As a health officer, I was responsible for coordinating and implementing health programs within the central prison in Kathmandu, Nepal. This experience has taught me the importance of addressing health issues in vulnerable populations and the role that education plays in promoting health and wellbeing. I am also proud to have 7 years of practical clinical working experience and administration in the Emergency Department of various hospitals. This experience has given me a strong foundation in providing quality healthcare services and has enhanced my leadership and organizational skills. As a Health Assistant, I have also had the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse team and support local governments in coordinating and implementing health initiatives. I am particularly drawn to this position at UNV at UNICEF because it allows me to combine my passion for public health with my desire to make a meaningful impact in the community. I am impressed by the collaborative role that this position entails, and I believe my experience and skills make me a strong fit for this role.
