Dear Hiring Committee, I am writing to apply for the Assistant Professor of Anthropology position at the University of Washington University. This position is of great interest to me and I would be honored to be given the opportunity to join the UW Anthropology Department. I am currently a lecturer in the Anthropology Department at San Francisco State University. My research interests include medical anthropology, global health, and health disparities. I have conducted fieldwork in India and the United States on a variety of topics related to these interests. I am particularly interested in the UW Anthropology Department because of its focus on critical and decolonial approaches to anthropology. I am committed to engaged and inclusive teaching. In my courses, I strive to create a learning environment that is supportive and respectful of all students. I am also committed to conducting research that is relevant to contemporary social issues.
