I was Chief Investigator for the Clinical Relevance of Microbleeds in Stroke (CROMIS-2) study: www.ucl.ac.uk/cromis-2 and the Geneticand Observational Subarachnoid Haemorrhage (GOSH) Study. I was Chief investigator for the Biomarkers in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (BOCAA) at UCL. I was UK Chief investigator for a therapeutic trial of the monoclonal antibody Ponezumab in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy. In collaboration with Prof Peter Rothwell (Oxford) I am Co-Chief Investigator for a randomised controlled trial of blood pressure lowering after intracerebral haemorrhage (Prevention Of Hypertensive Injury to the Brain - Intracerebral haemorrhage: PROHIBIT-ICH) funded by the Stroke Association. I am Chief Investigator of the BHF-funded OPTIMAS (Optimal Timing of Anticoagulation in Stroke) trial
currently running at over 60 hospitals in the UK. I am lead for the Microbleeds International Collaborative Network (MICON).
