Responsable des RH
United Nations Office for Project Services
Bangui, Central African Republic
Dear Responsable des RH,
I am writing to express my interest in the Procurement National Officer position at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). As a highly skilled and experienced procurement professional, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my expertise and passion to the impactful work of UNOPS.
My name is Benjamin Sanou and I have over 10 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on international organizations and projects. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, both of which have equipped me with a deep understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
What drew me to UNOPS is the organization's commitment to driving positive change and sustainable development across the globe. I have always been passionate about making a difference in people's lives, and I believe that UNOPS is the ideal platform for me to do so. Furthermore, the opportunity to work in Bangui, a city that has been through so much turmoil, is both challenging and inspiring, and I am eager to contribute to the rebuilding and development efforts in the country.
In my current role as Procurement Manager at a leading international NGO, I have been responsible for managing the procurement process for multiple projects, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. I have also developed and implemented procurement policies and procedures, resulting in cost savings and improved efficiency. My experience in managing complex procurement projects and my ability to build strong relationships with suppliers make me confident that I can successfully contribute to the procurement team at UNOPS.
One of the things that I find particularly appealing about the Procurement National Officer position is the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects. I am highly adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. I am confident that I can handle the challenges that come with managing procurement for projects in different sectors, such as infrastructure, health, and education.
Moreover, my experience working with international suppliers and managing cross-cultural teams has honed my communication and negotiation skills. I am able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and build strong partnerships with suppliers from diverse backgrounds. I believe that these skills, combined with my technical expertise in procurement, make me a strong fit for the role.
In addition, I have a strong understanding of the procurement guidelines and regulations of international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank. I am familiar with the procurement methods and processes used in these organizations and have successfully managed procurement projects in compliance with their guidelines. I am also well-versed in using procurement systems and tools such as e-tenders and e-procurement, which will enable me to hit the ground running in this role.
I am convinced that my skills, experience, and passion make me a strong candidate for the Procurement National Officer position at UNOPS. I am excited about the opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse team of professionals and contribute to the organization's mission of promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further and demonstrate my commitment to the values and goals of UNOPS.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Sanou
