I am writing in regards to the Facility Operator II position that is currently available with the Town of Morinville. Based on the skills and qualifications I have to offer, I believe I am the ideal candidate for this role. As a Facility Operator II, I would be responsible for applying equipment specific operation skills, techniques, and procedures in the performance of assigned maintenance activities in Arena Operations. I would also be responsible for operating municipal equipment such as Zamboni, elevated work platforms, hand tools, and sundry equipment. Furthermore, I would be responsible for performing custodial duties, daily maintenance checks, and weekly servicing of all equipment operated. Additionally, I would be responsible for washing and cleaning equipment as required, and reporting any malfunctions and/or repairs required to the Team Lead. I would also be responsible for completing minor building repairs including wall patching, painting, replacing bulbs, and ceiling tiles. Additionally, I would be responsible for setting up and turn-over of events and programs following specific design and layouts. Furthermore, I would be responsible for assisting clients and/or guests of the facilities with any questions or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner. Additionally, I would be responsible for monitoring inventory of supplies and reporting recommendations to order. I may also be assigned other duties as required. The skills and qualifications that I have to offer include excellent equipment operation skills, experience performing custodial duties and maintenance checks, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and guests.
