My family has a long history of serving the Catholic community, having built a small church on our family-owned memorial cemetery that has now been given over to the Detroit Catholic Diocese. This has instilled in me a strong sense of service and a deep understanding of the Catholic faith, which I believe will be valuable assets in promoting the university's mission and values.
My experience in marketing spans across various industries, including education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations. I have successfully built brands, communicated brand value, and developed go-to-market strategies for numerous companies. My expertise in digital marketing, social media, print, video, and podcasting has helped me to create successful campaigns that have reached a wide audience and generated significant results. In addition, my experience in market research has allowed me to identify and understand the needs and preferences of different target audiences, which I believe is crucial in developing effective marketing strategies.
One of my proudest achievements in my career has been my 12+ year partnership with Cook County and DePaul University in Chicago, IL. My storytelling and publicity experience in servicing this county, which has a population of over 8 million residents, has given me a unique expertise in handling a wide range of marketing needs. From celebratory news, such as business and scholastic development announcements, to crisis communications, I have been able to effectively communicate and support the county and university's messages. I have also worked closely with the Mayor's Office, addressing more sensitive matters and earning their endorsement for my work.
I am particularly excited about the opportunity to join The University of Saint Thomas and contribute to its already successful marketing efforts.
