maximizing the impact of our humanitarian efforts. Mission-Specific Responsibilities: In addition to your strategic and operational duties
you'll have specific responsibilities tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities in the Africa region: Travel to areas as needed to assess
monitor
and enable program response with CVA components
ensuring rapid and effective assistance in emergencies. Act as a first responder during emergencies
coordinating with relevant RCRC Movement actors and implementing strategies to mitigate the impact of crises through appropriate CVA rollout. Provide training and capacity-building initiatives for country teams and host National Societies
enhancing skills in CVA and promoting the New Ways of Working of the IFRC. Take on temporary managerial duties in the Africa team
representing the Norwegian Red Cross and ensuring the effective implementation of our programs. Qualifications: A Higher University Degree
with specialization applicable in health
WASH
or cash-based programs
is an asset. Significant humanitarian operational experience in disaster preparedness and response
with over 5 years of experience in implementing multipurpose/unrestricted cash and sector-based cash. Proven experience in capacity building
technical expertise in cash modalities
and a deep understanding of operational standards and systems. Proficiency in English required
with additional regional languages such as Arabic
French
or Swahili considered advantageous. Willingness to travel extensively within Africa and potentially beyond
including deployment on short notice. Extensive previous work in the design
