With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Social Work, I have a strong foundation in mental health and have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have honed my ability to provide compassionate support to those in need, while also utilizing my strong advocacy skills to ensure they receive the necessary resources and assistance. As a part-time role, I understand the importance of being able to effectively manage my time and prioritize tasks. With my previous experience as a mental health counselor, I have developed excellent time management skills and am able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Additionally, I have a keen eye for detail and am able to maintain accurate records and documentation, which I know is crucial in this role. In terms of my skills, I am particularly drawn to the fact that this position requires a combination of mental health, communication, and customer service skills. My experience as a mental health counselor has equipped me with the necessary skills to provide emotional support and guidance to individuals in distress. I am also a strong communicator, able to effectively listen and convey information in a clear and empathetic manner. Furthermore, I have a customer service background and am well-versed in providing excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed. I am also excited about the opportunity to work with a diverse team at The Lighthouse. With regards to the location, I would like to express my preference for working in Lancaster. As a resident of this community, I have a strong connection to the area and am familiar with the resources available for domestic violence survivors.
