I am writing to apply for the position of Sudan Regional Response Coordinator with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). I am a highly experienced emergency response professional with more than five years of INGO or other agency emergency response experience in insecure environments, including at least two years of management experience. I have essential experience in coordination/emergency response planning in similar contexts, and hold a university degree with advanced training or technical qualification in a relevant line of work/sector. Additionally, I have strong analytical, organizational, and management skills, and proven commitment to accountable practices and quality assurance systems in an emergency response. I am confident that I have the skills and experience required for this role, and I am excited about the opportunity to join the DRC team in responding to the needs caused by the Sudan crisis. In particular, I am keen to use my skills and experience in emergency response planning and coordination to support the DRC team in developing and implementing effective and efficient emergency response plans. Additionally, I am looking forward to contributing to the DRC’s advocacy and external engagement efforts related to the Sudan crisis, and to providing quality assurance of emergency response and cross-border programming. I am available to start work immediately, and my preferred location is Addis Ababa, Kampala or Nairobi.
