Dear Mansa Panigrahi,
Are you an adventurous and passionate educator with a burning love for teaching English Language and Literature? Do you have a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children around the world? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We at Still I Rise are on a mission to provide education, safeguard, and protect refugee and vulnerable children across the world. Our organization, founded in 2018, operates in various countries, including Syria, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Yemen, and Colombia. We open International Schools and Academies for children in crisis-hit contexts, and our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment for these children to thrive and reach their full potential.
Currently, we are seeking passionate and innovative individuals with a global mindset to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. Our new international teaching placement program is a unique opportunity for educators who are ready to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As an International School Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate 10-13-year-old students in small, focused classes. You will follow a demanding curriculum within an internationally-recognized pedagogical framework, while skillfully utilizing inquiry-based learning to allow students to become the active leads of their own learning.
What sets us apart from other organizations is our commitment to encouraging students to become voracious readers. As a School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in spearheading this commitment by creating engaging lesson plans, providing quality education, communicating with students, and training them to become lifelong learners. Your role will also involve other school-related tasks throughout the day, making it a dynamic and fulfilling experience.
We are looking for a brave, open-minded, and determined English Literature teacher to join our team and be part of the change we wish to see in the world. Still I Rise values individuals who are ambitious, caring, actively transparent, principled, open-minded, reflective, risk-taking, inquiring, knowledgeable, great communicators, and balanced. As a role model to the students we serve, we expect our team members to demonstrate these values on a daily basis.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, we require our applicants to have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken), and academic or professional teaching certificates. Additionally, we are looking for individuals who have experience teaching students at an early literacy level, teaching at international schools, and working with vulnerable populations (although this is not a requirement).
As an English Teacher at Still I Rise, you will have the opportunity to teach with a modern, inquiry-based method and work as a determined team player. With at least two years of teaching experience, you are equipped to handle the challenges of working in a diverse and ever-changing environment. Your competent ICT skills, excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to mentor students on a daily basis will be essential in your role.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also be expected to contribute to the development and leadership of our extracurricular programs, actively participate in community engagement, competitions, school trips, and other activities. We also value your feedback on the quality and well-being of our programs to ensure they are designed, implemented, monitored, and evaluated to maximize positive impact on vulnerable children.
As someone who is passionate about teaching English language and Literature, I am excited about this opportunity at Still I Rise. I am particularly drawn to the organization's commitment to encouraging students to become voracious readers and the opportunity to work with vulnerable populations. As an experienced educator with excellent communication skills, I am confident that I can effectively impart knowledge and inspire students to become lifelong learners.
My experience teaching at international schools has equipped me with the skills to work in a diverse environment and handle students from various cultural backgrounds. I have also worked with vulnerable populations, and I am passionate about providing quality education to those who need it the most. My strong ICT skills and ability to mentor students on a daily basis make me the perfect fit for this role.
I am excited about the possibility of joining your team at Still I Rise and contributing to your mission of democratizing elite education. I am confident that my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for this position. Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
