Currently, I am the State Team Lead in Kano, where I have gained valuable experience in project management, team leadership, and capacity building. I have also worked on various health programs, including malaria prevention and case management, at different levels of healthcare delivery in Nigeria. My passion for public health and my desire to make a positive impact in the world have led me to seek opportunities that will allow me to utilize my skills and expertise to their fullest potential. Therefore, when I came across the opportunity to work with Social Impact as a Team Leader for the PMI-S evaluation, I was immediately drawn to it. What I find most appealing about this position is the opportunity to work with a highly reputable organization like Social Impact and contribute to the improvement of malaria prevention and control efforts in Nigeria. With over ten years of experience in the malaria sector, including clinical expertise, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field. I have also worked on various endline evaluations and research projects, both in Nigeria and other low/middle-income countries, which have equipped me with a solid understanding of research methods and impact evaluation. In addition, I have specific experience in conducting endline evaluations for malaria programs, and I am well-versed in the use of innovative evaluation approaches such as Difference-in-Differences (DID) and Contribution Analysis. Moreover, my experience in international public health has given me a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the global context of health interventions. I have also developed strong interpersonal and communication skills through my work with diverse stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and local communities. These skills will be invaluable in facilitating collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders throughout the evaluation process. Furthermore, I am highly skilled in report writing and making presentations, which I believe are essential for effectively communicating evaluation findings and recommendations to diverse audiences. My proficiency in English, both oral and written, will also ensure clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders. In addition to my technical skills, I am a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for mentoring and developing others. I am confident that my leadership skills and ability to coordinate and manage activities will enable me to effectively lead the evaluation team and ensure a rigorous and high-quality evaluation. I am currently based in Kano, but I am willing to relocate to Abuja for this consultancy role. I believe that my knowledge and experience working in northern Nigeria will be valuable in conducting the evaluation in Akwa Ibom, Benue, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
