Smud Community Relations Intern Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing in regards to the Student Intern position at SMUD Community Relations. I am excited to apply for this position as it seems like a perfect match for my skills and interests. As a recent graduate of California State University Sacramento, I have a strong background in customer service and communications. In my previous role as a customer service representative, I was often praised for my ability to diffusing difficult situations and my ability to communicate clearly. I believe that these skills would be beneficial in a role where I would be interacting with the public on a daily basis. I am also passionate about community outreach and have experience working with various community groups. In my previous role as an intern at the Sacramento Children’s Home, I was responsible for coordinating community events and outreach programs. I enjoyed this work and am excited to see what I could do in a similar role at SMUD.
