Dear SRU Search Committee, I am writing in response to your recent posting for the Vice President for University Advancement position. I am excited to be considered for this role and believe that my skills and experience make me the perfect candidate for the job. I am a 2009 and 2017 graduate of Slippery Rock University, so I know firsthand the amazing education and opportunities that SRU has to offer. As a student, I was heavily involved in campus life and was a member of many different clubs and organizations. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the SRU community and what it takes to build relationships and engage with students, faculty, staff, and alumni. In my current role as Director of Annual Giving at the University of Pittsburgh, I have been responsible for leading a team of annual giving officers and overseeing all aspects of the annual giving program. I have successfully implemented new strategies that have resulted in increased donor engagement and giving. I am confident that I can bring my experience and success to SRU and help to take the University Advancement office to the next level. I am passionate about higher education and believe that SRU is poised to make a tremendous impact on the lives of its students and the community.
