The fact that Share Our Strength has a dedicated center to develop, evaluate, and disseminate best practices to end childhood hunger is what initially caught my attention. I am eager to leverage my skills and experience in this role to contribute to the advancement of best practices in the fight against childhood hunger.
Over the course of my career, I have developed a strong skill set that I believe would be a great fit for this position. As a Senior Manager, I am confident in my ability to lead and manage a team effectively. In my previous role as a Program Manager at a non-profit organization, I successfully managed a team of 10 individuals and oversaw multiple projects simultaneously. I am adept at delegating tasks, providing guidance and support, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Moreover, my strong organizational skills and attention to detail have enabled me to consistently meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
In addition to my management skills, I also bring a wealth of experience in conducting research and data analysis. In my current role as a Research Analyst, I have been responsible for designing and conducting research studies, analyzing data, and presenting findings to various stakeholders. I am proficient in using statistical software such as SPSS and have experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. I am confident that these skills would be valuable in contributing to the work of the Center for Best Practices at Share Our Strength.
Furthermore, I am highly passionate about social justice and have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly in the area of food insecurity. I have actively volunteered with organizations that work towards addressing food insecurity in low-income communities, and this has further fueled my passion for this cause. I am committed to using my skills and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of those who are most vulnerable and in need.
I am also impressed by Share Our Strength’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
