Dear Mrs. Falbo, I am writing in regards to the Director of Learning position at the Senator John Heinz History Center. I am immensely excited about this opportunity to lead the Learning Division at such a renowned institution. As a experienced educator, I have a proven track record of developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating educational outreach, school initiatives, and educational partnership programs. I am confident that I can build and lead a team that coordinates and executes in-person and virtual experiences for students, early, and adult learners; offers professional educational opportunities for teachers; and provides its diverse audiences with equitable access to learning through strategic partners such as Pittsburgh Public Schools, Remake Learning, and the Smithsonian. Additionally, as the lead facilitator for the History Center’s civics education initiatives, including America 101 and the national History Made By Us coalition, I have extensive experience in researching, planning, facilitating, and evaluating civics-focused virtual and on-site learning, public tours, activities, and programs. In addition to my experience, I have the necessary skills to excel in this role. I am an excellent communicator and have superb organizational skills. I am also proficient in budgeting and have a keen eye for detail. I am confident that I am the best candidate for this position and that I can make a positive impact on the Learning Division at the Senator John Heinz History Center.
