Dear Peace Corps Inc.,
I hope this letter finds you well, and before you ask, yes, I am Erin Lewis, the Marine Biologist you've been looking for. I know, I know, you must be wondering why I'm not a fish talking to you directly, but let me assure you, I'm just as good as a fish when it comes to marine biology.
First of all, I have to say, I absolutely love your company's name. It's so peaceful and calming, just like the ocean. And speaking of the ocean, I am thrilled to be applying for the position of Marine Biologist at Peace Corps. I have always been fascinated by the underwater world and have spent countless hours studying and observing marine life. So, when I saw that you were looking for a Marine Biologist, I couldn't resist the opportunity to apply.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Atlantis, where I graduated top of my class. Yes, Atlantis, the mythical underwater city, but don't worry, I can breathe on land too. I have also completed various research projects and internships at renowned marine institutes, gaining hands-on experience in the field. I have a deep understanding of marine ecosystems, and my knowledge of different species of fish is unmatched. You can trust me when I say, I know my gills from my fins.
What really drew me to this particular position at Peace Corps is your company's commitment to marine conservation. I must say, I am impressed with your efforts to protect and preserve the ocean. As a Marine Biologist, I strongly believe it is our responsibility to safeguard the marine environment and all its inhabitants. And I can assure you, I am more than willing to get my hands wet to make a difference.
Moreover, I love that this position involves working with local communities and educating them about the importance of marine conservation. I am a people-person, and I believe that effective communication is essential in spreading awareness and bringing about change. I have excellent communication skills and can explain complex scientific concepts in a way that anyone can understand. Plus, I have a great sense of humor, which always comes in handy when dealing with people.
I also have to mention that I am incredibly passionate about scuba diving. I have been diving since I was a teenager, and it has been a lifelong dream of mine to combine my love for diving with my passion for marine biology. I am a certified Advanced Open Water Diver and have experience in deep-sea diving, night diving, and wreck diving. I can't wait to explore the depths of the ocean with Peace Corps and document the incredible marine life I encounter.
In addition to my technical skills, I am a quick learner and adapt well to new environments. I am also a team player and work well in a collaborative setting. I believe that teamwork makes the dream work, especially when it comes to marine conservation. Together, we can make a bigger impact and create a better future for our oceans.
I must say, I am beyond excited about the possibility of joining the Peace Corps family. I have heard great things about your organization and the amazing work you do. I would be honored to be a part of it and contribute my skills and knowledge towards your mission.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss this position further and answer any questions you may have. Thank you for considering my application, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Erin Lewis (the not-so-fishy Marine Biologist)
