driving growth and delivering exceptional customer service to our valued customers. Position: Collections Consultant Employment Type: Full-time
Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday
8-hour shift within operating hours of 8 am - 5 pm Location: Our office at 150 Lichfield Street
Christchurch Central - this is not a working from home role Role Overview: As a Collections Consultant
you will play a pivotal role in managing a loan book portfolio with customers in various collections stages. You will be establishing successful payment arrangements
negotiating new payment plans and loan settlements
and ensuring the closure of accounts while maintaining our commitment to responsible lending practices. Key Responsibilities: Be able to handle diverse customer situations effectively. Build genuine rapport with our customer base by demonstrating resilience
reliability
and a customer-centric approach. Demonstrate passion and dedication in successfully collecting outstanding payments. Employ strong verbal and written communication skills to navigate challenging situations with patience and persistence. Utilise your proficiency in computer skills
including the Microsoft Suite
to efficiently manage and adapt to our systems. Embrace a teachable
adaptable
and agile mindset
continuously seeking opportunities to learn and improve. Your Tasks: Manage daily tasks and work flow
including inbound and outbound communications
within the Collections team. Collaborate with the team to handle new debtors and overdue accounts
preparing them for debt collection or internal legal processes. Offer valuable feedback and insights to improve processing errors or policy adjustments. Requirements: A minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
