the postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering high impact system level interventions and programmes of work to deliver the system Workforce Strategy. • Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the NEL Workforce Strategy
including long term strategic planning of projects and developing and embedding appropriate governance arrangements. • Working particularly with NHS providers
develop strategies and plans to improve workforce productivity and oversee the development of insight and analysis tools including data system to ensure effective delivery. • Working with all partners
develop programmes to: o embed workforce transformation and new ways of working
o support and enable service redesign
optimising the skills and contribution of the NEL workforce
o optimise deployment of people technologies and innovation to both meet population health needs and drive efficiency and value for money. • Working with providers (particularly small ones) to build collaborative structures for employee support such as occupational health
staff networks and employee welfare support. • Work effectively with system partners to grow the workforce for the future
enabling adequate workforce supply
through integrated
resourced and well-planned system level action to recruit and retain talent and workforce capacity within NEL. This should include working with EDI colleagues to encourage the recruitment of local people and minority groups to support improving equality and diversity in the workforce. • Prioritise high level workforce actions to take and agree a programme of work across all system partners in situations where opinions are likely to differ and there is no precedent. • Work with regional and national colleagues to share learning and data. • Develop collaborative and transparent arrangements for domestic and international recruitment across the system
