Dear Human Resources, I am interested in applying for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor at the National Defense University. This position is appealing to me for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I am passionate about teaching and I believe that the National Defense University would be an excellent place to continue my teaching career. I have published extensively in the area of national security and I am confident that my research would be a valuable asset to the National Defense University. I have a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University and I have taught at a number of institutions, including the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California.
