I am writing to apply for the Archives Technician position at the National Archives and Records Administration. I am a recent graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in History and a minor in Archival Studies. I am passionate about history and preservation, and I believe that my skills and knowledge would make me an excellent candidate for this position.
I am knowledgeable about a variety of archival processing techniques and I have experience working with a variety of archival materials. I am also familiar with a variety of software programs that are commonly used in archives, including ArchivesSpace and Omeka. In addition to my skills and knowledge, I am also a quick learner and I am able to work independently.
I am interested in this position because it would allow me to use my skills and knowledge to help preserve our nation's history. I believe that the National Archives is a vital institution, and I would be proud to contribute to its work. I am also interested in this position because it is located in my hometown of Spanish Lake, MO.
