I am writing to apply for the Library Assistant position at Mississauga Library. This particular position has caught my eye as it emphasizes assisting patrons with their inquiries – something I am passionate about.
Through my previous customer service roles, I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am able to handle difficult inquiries with tact and diplomacy, and I always go the extra mile to ensure that patrons leave satisfied. I am confident that I can provide the same high level of service to Mississauga Library patrons.
In addition, I have experience with conducting reference interviews, shelving materials, and providing general information about library services and resources. I am familiar with the Dewey Decimal Classification system and I am comfortable using a variety of research tools.
