Dear Divya Rao,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits and with a full stomach (because let's be real, food is life). My name is Ishpreet Balbir and I am writing to apply for the entertainment marketing position at Netflix.
First off, let me just say that I am a huge fan of Netflix. I mean, who isn't? It's like having a personal movie theater in your own hands. I have spent countless nights binge-watching shows and movies on your platform, and let me tell you, it has been a wild ride. From laughing my heart out at comedies to crying my eyes out at emotional dramas, Netflix has been there for me through it all.
Now, let's talk about the position itself. As an entertainment marketing enthusiast, this job sounds like a dream come true. The opportunity to combine my love for marketing with my passion for entertainment is a match made in heaven. I can already see myself coming up with creative strategies to promote new shows and movies, writing witty and attention-grabbing copy, and creating captivating content that will leave the audience wanting more.
Speaking of my skills, I have a knack for coming up with out-of-the-box ideas and executing them flawlessly. My experience in copywriting has taught me how to use words to sell a product or an idea, and I am confident that I can do the same for Netflix. I have also dabbled in content creation, and I must say, I have a pretty good eye for visuals. I firmly believe that I can create content that will not only resonate with the audience but also make them want to hit that play button.
In addition, I am a research ninja. Give me a topic and a deadline, and I will come back to you with all the information you need. I have a talent for finding the most obscure facts and turning them into interesting stories. And let's not forget about my short film making skills. I have made a few short films in the past, and I must say, they were pretty darn good. I have a natural eye for storytelling, and I am always looking for ways to improve my craft.
But I must admit, my most valuable skill is my expert level of googling. I know, it may sound funny, but let me tell you, it is a skill that not everyone possesses. I can find the answer to any question, no matter how bizarre it may seem. Need to know how many times the word "pizza" was said in Friends? I got you covered. Want to find out the highest-grossing movie of all time? Just give me a minute. My googling skills will definitely come in handy when it comes to researching the latest trends and staying ahead of the game.
Now, I understand that this is a project-based role, and I am okay with that. In fact, I think it's a perfect fit for me. I thrive in fast-paced environments and I am always up for a new challenge. Plus, working on different projects means I get to bring my A-game every single time. And let's be real, who wants to do the same thing every day? Variety is the spice of life, and I am ready to spice things up at Netflix.
Lastly, I would like to mention that I prefer to work in Mumbai. Being a true Mumbaikar, I am in love with the city and all that it has to offer. The fast-paced lifestyle, the vibrant culture, and the never-ending food options make it the perfect place for me to work and grow.
In conclusion, I am beyond excited about the opportunity to join the Netflix team and contribute my skills and passion to the entertainment marketing department. I believe that my creative thinking, copywriting expertise, content creation skills, research ninja abilities, short film making talent, and googling mastery make me a perfect fit for this position. I am looking forward to the possibility of working with you and taking Netflix's marketing game to the next level.
Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my resume and portfolio for your review. I am eagerly waiting to hear back from you.
Yours sincerely,
Ishpreet Balbir (aka the ultimate Netflix fan)
