I have a strong background in youth development, having completed my Bachelor's degree in Youth Studies and working with various organizations focused on youth empowerment. I have also completed additional training in youth counseling and mentorship, which has equipped me with the necessary skills to connect with and support young people from diverse backgrounds.
In my current role as a Youth Worker at a local community center, I have been responsible for developing and implementing programs that cater to the needs and interests of young people. This experience has honed my ability to plan and execute engaging and impactful activities, while also fostering a safe and inclusive environment for young people to express themselves. I am confident that my skills in program development and project management will be an asset in coordinating and overseeing the young people’s engagement programs at Manchester council.
Moreover, I am a strong advocate for youth participation and I believe in giving young people a voice in decision-making processes. In my previous roles, I have successfully implemented strategies to engage young people in decision-making processes and I am eager to bring this expertise to Manchester council. I am excited about the prospect of working with the council's Youth Council and other youth-led initiatives to ensure that young people's voices are heard and their opinions are valued.
Beyond my technical skills, I believe my personal qualities make me a suitable candidate for this position. I am an empathetic and patient individual, with a genuine passion for working with young people. I am a good listener and I am able to build meaningful relationships with young people, which is crucial in gaining their trust and understanding their needs. I am also a strong team player and I am confident that I will be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team to achieve our goals.
