Dear Melanie, I am writing in regards to the school librarian position at Library L. I am passionate about this position and would love to be given the opportunity to fill it. I have always been an avid reader and have always loved spending time in libraries. When I was younger, I would often go to the library after school and on weekends to read and do research. I developed a love for books and knowledge, and I knew that I wanted to work in a library when I grew up. I have a degree in library science from XYZ University and have worked as a librarian for the past five years. I have experience working with children and teens, and I am passionate about promoting literacy and a love of learning. I believe that I would be an excellent school librarian and would be a valuable asset to your team.
