In addition to my experience in event coordination, I have also worked as a Cultural Advocate for the Quileute Tribe in La Push, WA and as an MSPI Coordinator for the Hoh Indian Tribe in Forks, WA. In these roles, I have coordinated and led community events, advocated for the community's needs, and facilitated organizational collaboration between departments. I have also been responsible for client intake, reporting, data entry, and other office tasks. My experience in working with different communities and cultures has enhanced my intercultural fluency and ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people. Furthermore, I have a strong educational background, having obtained my diploma from Toppenish High School and completing general education courses at Peninsula College in Forks, WA. I am also a certified forklift driver and flagger, and possess excellent soft skills such as advocating for community involvement, excellent verbal communication, discretion with confidential information, critical thinking, and problem-solving. I have also volunteered for various organizations such as the Forks Police Foundation, Westend Youth League, and assisted in the Police Cadet Program in Forks, WA. As a Correctional Records Technician, I am confident that I can excel in calculating the length of incarceration, community supervision time, and determining release dates. I am detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong understanding of laws and agency policies. I am also eager to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance in my work. My preferred location for this role is Clallam Bay prison, as I am familiar with the community and have a strong desire to serve the incarcerated individuals in that area.
