Dear IWRAW Asia Pacific, I am writing in regards to the Connecting Gender Equality to Environmental Justice Fellow position. I am immensely passionate about this role and IWRAW Asia Pacific’s mission to promote and protect women’s human rights. I strongly believe that gender equality and environmental justice are inextricably linked. Women are disproportionately affected by environmental degradation, yet they are often excluded from decision-making processes around environmental protection. I am committed to working towards a more just and sustainable world for all, and I believe that this fellowship would be an invaluable experience. I have a background in environmental science and gender studies, and I have experience working on environmental justice issues in both the NGO and academic sectors. I am confident that I have the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in this role. I am also excited about the possibility of working remotely, as I believe it would allow me to better manage my personal commitments.
