I am excited to apply for the Diversity and Inclusion Specialist role at IT Academy. I am currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion and have some prior knowledge or experience in the field, either through coursework, volunteering, or relevant projects. I am familiar with the challenges faced by immigrants in the job market and I am genuinely interested in helping them overcome these barriers. I have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and I am able to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. I am also proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) for documentation and data analysis. I am proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and contribute ideas to improve diversity and inclusion efforts. I am also fluent in English and Swedish, both written and verbal. In my previous role, I was responsible for assisting in diversity and inclusion initiatives. I collaborated with the Diversity and Inclusion team to support the development and implementation of programs, policies, and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion within our organization and the job market. I also did employer outreach and engagement, researching and identifying potential employers who value diversity and are open to hiring diverse talent, particularly immigrants. I built relationships with hiring managers, HR departments, and recruitment agencies to promote our skilled candidates.
