Dear CD,
Greetings from Miqdad Abdulrahman!
I came across your job posting for the position of WASH PM at SI and I was immediately drawn to the opportunity. As someone who is passionate about emergency programming and has a strong background in WASH management, I believe I am the right fit for this role.
First and foremost, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have over 8 years of experience in managing emergency programming in various locations, with a focus on WASH. My previous roles have allowed me to develop strong skills in distribution, coordination, and capacity building. I am confident that my skills and experience make me a valuable addition to the SI team.
What excites me the most about this particular position at SI is the opportunity to work in West Darfur. Having worked in different locations, I have developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the complexities of working in emergency situations. I am eager to use my skills and experience to contribute towards improving access and building acceptance with communities in West Darfur.
In my previous roles, I have successfully managed emergency responses and developed strategies for WASH interventions in new areas. I am a proactive and results-oriented individual, and I am confident that I can do the same at SI. I have a strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations, which I believe are crucial skills for this role.
One of my strengths is my ability to build and lead a team. I have a strong track record of recruiting and developing team members, and I am willing to do the same at SI. I believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, where team members feel valued and motivated to perform their best. I am also skilled in close coordination and joint implementation with consortium partners and aid actors, which I believe is essential for the success of any emergency response.
Apart from my technical skills, I possess certain transversal skills that I believe are crucial for this role. I have a strong sense of initiative and can take charge of a situation when needed. I am also fluent in English and have a good understanding of Arabic, which I believe will be a strong added value for this role.
As mentioned in the job description, the WASH PM will also be responsible for leading needs assessments in different areas and developing the SI response plan. I have experience in conducting needs assessments and developing response plans, and I am confident that I can effectively carry out these tasks. I am also open to working with local partners and believe in the importance of building strong partnerships to create a more impactful response.
If given the opportunity, I am willing to relocate to Sudan, as it is a country I am eager to work in. I am drawn to the culture, history, and resilience of the people of Sudan, and I would be honored to contribute towards their welfare through my work at SI.
In conclusion, I am excited about the possibility of joining SI as the WASH PM. I am confident that my skills, experience, and passion for emergency programming make me a valuable candidate for this role. I am eager to bring my expertise and contribute towards the growth and impact of SI's work in West Darfur.
