Dear Josh, I am writing in regards to the open position for Starbucks Barista at Hyvee. I am immensely passionate about coffee and would love to have the opportunity to grow within such a reputable company. Since I was a young child, I have always had a strong interest in coffee. I remember going to my local coffee shop with my mom and being in awe of the different colors and smells of the beans. When I was old enough to start working, I took my first job as a barista and knew that I had found my calling. I love working with coffee and take pride in being able to create the perfect drink for each customer. I have worked as a barista for the past four years and during that time I have learned a great deal about the coffee industry. I am extremely knowledgeable in different brewing methods and have taken several courses on coffee tasting and cupping. I am confident that I have the skills and experience that you are looking for in a candidate. In addition to my passion for coffee, I am also very customer service oriented. I pride myself on being able to create a warm and welcoming environment for each customer. I am always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that each person leaves our store happy.
