In terms of my skills and experience, I have a strong background in sexual assault prevention and response. As an Operations Manager at a sexual assault prevention and response program in my previous role, I developed and implemented strategies to effectively address and prevent sexual violence. I also have experience as a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim Advocate, where I provided support and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence. These experiences have equipped me with a thorough understanding of the complexities surrounding gendered violence and the importance of prevention and intervention.
Furthermore, I am confident in my ability to manage and coordinate programs and initiatives related to gendered violence prevention. My excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure have been instrumental in my previous roles. In addition, my strong communication skills allow me to effectively collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and effectively convey important information to different audiences.
I am also deeply committed to continuous learning and growth. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and have completed numerous training programs on topics such as trauma-informed care and risk assessment. I am eager to further develop my skills and knowledge in the field of gendered violence prevention and I am confident that Gippsland Women's Health will provide me with the necessary resources and opportunities to do so.
As a resident of Gippsland myself, I am particularly interested in this position as it aligns with my personal values and goals. I am passionate about making a positive impact in my local community and I believe that this role would allow me to do so in a meaningful way. I am also familiar with the unique challenges faced by women in this region and am dedicated to working towards creating a safer and more inclusive environment for them.
