My expertise with piano and performance in various musical styles, along with my experience in accompaniment and choir conducting, have equipped me with the necessary skills to create a vibrant and engaging musical experience for the congregation. One of the things that truly stood out to me about this position is the emphasis on working with volunteer musicians. Having worked with volunteers in the past, I understand the importance of creating a positive and encouraging environment in rehearsals. With my ability to run effective rehearsals and teach good vocal and ensemble skills, I am confident in my ability to build a strong and dedicated team of volunteer musicians. Furthermore, I have a strong understanding of budgetary limitations and the importance of working within them. My experience in managing budgets for music programs, along with my strong organizational and planning skills, will enable me to create a successful and sustainable music program for the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter. Aside from my technical skills, I believe my strong interpersonal skills are an essential aspect of being a successful Music Director. Building a sense of community and encouraging church members to grow together through music-making is something that I am deeply passionate about. I believe that music has the power to bring people together, and I am excited about the opportunity to use my skills to foster a sense of unity and togetherness within the congregation.
