Dear Stephen,
I am writing to express my interest in the position of an artist at Film Development Council of the Philippines, as advertised on your company website. As an experienced artist with a passion for promoting Philippine cinema, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and knowledge to your esteemed organization.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ira Stephen F. Atillano, a graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of the Philippines. I have been actively involved in the local art scene for the past five years through participating in various art exhibits and working as a freelance artist. I have also received recognition for my works including being awarded as the Best in Painting during our university's annual art competition.
As an artist, I have always been fascinated by the power of visual storytelling. The way a single image can evoke a multitude of emotions and convey a powerful message is what drives me to create. I have been following the work of Film Development Council of the Philippines for quite some time now and I am truly impressed by how your organization has been promoting and supporting Filipino filmmakers, both locally and internationally. I am particularly drawn to your commitment to preserve and promote our rich culture and heritage through film, as well as your efforts in providing opportunities for aspiring filmmakers to showcase their talents.
What intrigues me most about this particular position in your company is the opportunity to work with a team of talented individuals who share the same passion for Philippine cinema. I believe that collaborating with like-minded people is crucial in creating meaningful and impactful works of art. Furthermore, I am also impressed by the diverse range of projects that your organization handles, from film festivals to cultural exchange programs, as it offers a dynamic and challenging environment for an artist like myself.
I possess a wide range of skills that I believe would make me a valuable addition to your team. As an artist, I have a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of creativity. I am proficient in various techniques and mediums, such as oil and acrylic painting, charcoal and pencil sketching, and digital art. My experience in working on tight deadlines has honed my time management and multitasking skills. I am also a team player who is open to constructive criticism and always willing to learn from others.
Aside from my technical skills, I am also well-versed in the history and development of Philippine cinema. I have a deep understanding of our cultural identity and how it is reflected in our films. I believe that this knowledge will be beneficial in creating artworks that promote and preserve our culture, as well as in collaborating with filmmakers to bring their visions to life.
Working with Film Development Council of the Philippines would not only be a great opportunity for me to grow as an artist, but also to contribute to the advancement of our local film industry. I am excited about the prospect of working with a team that shares the same goal and vision, and I am confident that my skills and passion would make me an asset to your organization.
Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my resume and portfolio for your review. I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further and how I can contribute to the success of your company.
Sincerely,
Ira Stephen F. Atillano
