Assist in the day-to-day accounting requirements
with support from the Controller and CFO. Ensure monthly accounting tasks including bank reconciliations
accounts payable and receivable transactions
tax filings (GST
PST
payroll tax) and payroll entries are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Perform monthly reconciliations with supporting working papers and schedules
such as prepaids
accruals
fixed asset schedules
revenue and cost of sales reports. Ensure journal entries and transactions are recorded and reconciled appropriately. Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financials as required. Assist and support the budget and forecast process
providing relevant financial data and analysis. Monitor budget variances. Assist in project financial reporting and in administrative of the internal project management systems. Support other various financial and accounting requirements on a monthly and ad hoc basis. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
ledgers
and journals. Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Process and code invoices
expense reports
and disbursements. Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies. Monitor and manage client accounts. Generate and send out invoices
follow up on overdue payments. Prepare financial statements and reports. Compile and analyze financial data for decision-making support. Assist auditors during audits. Provide necessary documentation and information as required. Work and collaborate with Falkirk’s staff
project managers and senior leadership team. Identify and assist with continuous improvement
and assist with implementation of processes
tools and technology to increase efficiencies. Perform other related duties as required.
