Prior experience as an Executive Assistant working for a similar or larger sized company or organization
with similar responsibilities

A general understanding of maritime terminology a plus
Knowledge of how state and local government interacts with the Board of Harbor Commissioners a plus
A general understanding of the Brown Act would be a plus
A general understanding of the Board agenda process would be a plus
Ability to adapt and use new software programs
