Dear HR Department at Escambia County Board of Commissioner’s,
Greetings to the fine folks at Escambia County Board of Commissioner’s! My name is Mary West and I am excited to apply for the position of Administrative Assistant. I am writing this cover letter in hopes of making you laugh, smile, and ultimately consider me for this amazing opportunity.
First and foremost, let me just say that I am a huge fan of your company. I have always been fascinated by the world of county commissioners and how they keep everything running smoothly. Plus, Escambia County sounds like a really cool name, like something out of a superhero movie. I can just imagine myself walking around the office with a cape and a big “EC” logo on my chest. Okay, maybe that’s a bit too much, but you get the idea.
Now, let’s talk about why I am the perfect fit for this position. Firstly, I have a knack for organization. Seriously, my friends call me “The Queen of Color-Coded Calendars.” I can keep track of multiple tasks, deadlines, and meetings without breaking a sweat. I even color-code my grocery list. Don’t judge me, it’s a gift. I am also a pro at multitasking. I once wrote an entire essay while watching Netflix and eating pizza. It was a masterpiece, if I do say so myself.
But wait, there’s more! I am a master problem solver. You need someone to fix the copy machine? I got you. Need someone to calm down an angry customer? No problem. Need someone to figure out why the office plant keeps dying? I am your girl. I am like a real-life MacGyver, but without the mullet and with a better fashion sense.
But what I really love about this particular position at Escambia County Board of Commissioner’s is the opportunity to work with such a diverse group of people. I have always been a people person and I thrive in environments where I get to interact with different personalities and backgrounds. I have a great sense of humor and I am not afraid to use it. In fact, I believe that laughter is the best medicine, so you can count on me to keep the office morale up.
Oh, and did I mention that I am a social media whiz? I can tweet, post, and snap with the best of them. I have been known to turn a boring meeting into a viral meme in just a few minutes. Plus, I am a pro at navigating through Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. I can make your charts and graphs look like a work of art. You’re welcome.
In all seriousness, I am extremely passionate about this position and I am confident that I have the skills, experience, and personality to excel in this role. I am a quick learner and I am always looking for ways to improve and grow. I am a team player and I am ready to jump in and contribute to the success of Escambia County Board of Commissioner’s.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and discuss how I can bring my unique set of skills and humor to your team. And if you’re ever in need of a good laugh, you know who to call.
Sincerely,
Mary West (aka The Queen of Color-Coded Calendars)
