In my current role as a Youth Minister at a local church, I have had the privilege of working closely with young adults and helping them develop their spiritual journeys. Through this experience, I have honed my skills in teaching, mentoring, and organizing various events and programs. I am confident that these skills will be valuable assets in my role as the Canon for Formation & Lay Ministry at the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee.
One aspect of this position that particularly excites me is the opportunity to work with lay leaders and equip them with the necessary skills to lead and serve in their communities. I believe that lay leaders play a crucial role in the growth and development of a church, and I am eager to utilize my skills to train and support them in their ministries. I am also excited about the potential to collaborate with other clergy and lay leaders within the diocese to create meaningful and impactful programs for the community.
Moreover, I am constantly seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth, and I believe that the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee will provide me with just that. I am impressed by the diocese's commitment to ongoing education and formation for its clergy and lay leaders. In addition to my experience in ministry, I possess strong organizational and communication skills that I believe will be essential in this role. I am highly organized and detail-oriented, which has allowed me to successfully plan and execute various events and programs in the past. I am also an excellent communicator and have the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I am confident that these skills, combined with my passion for ministry, will enable me to excel in the Canon for Formation & Lay Ministry role.
