Dear DLR,
I am writing to express my interest in the Earth Observation Department (AR-AO) position at the German Space Agency, as advertised on your website. As a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for space travel and environmental conservation, I am confident that my qualifications and experience make me an ideal candidate for this role.
Your mission of exploring the infinite expanses of space and making it accessible to humanity is truly inspiring. What sets space travel apart is the fact that it not only satisfies our innate curiosity for the unknown, but also plays a crucial role in our daily lives on Earth. From communication and weather forecasting to understanding climate change and developing solutions, space travel has become an integral part of our modern world. And the fact that it can only be achieved through international collaboration and cooperation makes it even more fascinating.
As the German Space Agency, you are at the forefront of developing and implementing Germany's space program, as well as managing its activities at a European and international level. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a team that is dedicated to 100% space travel. These skills and experiences make me well-equipped to handle the tasks outlined in the job description, such as creating information and presentation materials on earth observation projects and applications in the environmental sector, conducting research on national, EU, and ESA activities, and providing support in consulting relevant stakeholders.
Moreover, I possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a high level of reliability. I am proficient in MS Office and have experience with database programs. I am also fluent in both German and English, both spoken and written. I am confident that with these skills, I can effectively contribute to the success of the “Application Development & Data Use” specialist group.
