Dear Panel Members, I am writing in regards to the Climate Change Policy Officer position at the Department for Environment. I am immensely passionate about this role as it allows me to directly contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change. I have several years’ experience working in environmental policy and have a strong understanding of the issues surrounding climate change. In my previous role, I was responsible for developing and implementing policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. I have also worked extensively with communities to raise awareness of climate change and engage them in mitigating its effects. I am confident that I have the skills and experience needed for this role. I am a strong communicator with excellent writing skills. I am also highly organised and can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. I am excited about the opportunity to use my skills and experience to make a positive impact on the environment.
