Dear Google,
I hope this letter finds you well and not buried under a giant pile of resumes. I know, I know, being one of the most sought after companies in the world, you must receive an overwhelming amount of applications. But before you toss this letter aside, just hear me out. I promise you won't regret it.
First things first, let me introduce myself. My name is Eric Rice and I am a budding UX designer with a passion for all things Google. Yes, you read that right. I am a big fan of your company and have been for quite some time. In fact, my love for Google started when I was just a kid and I used to spend hours playing with your logo on my computer. Little did I know, that one day I would be writing a cover letter to you, hoping to be a part of your team.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Why should you hire me? Well, let me tell you, I am not just another applicant who is applying for the UX Design Intern position. I have the skills, the creativity, and most importantly, the sense of humor to fit in perfectly with the Google family. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to work with someone who can make them laugh during those long, stressful work hours?
So, what is it about this particular position at Google that has caught my eye, you may ask. Well, for starters, as someone who is passionate about design and technology, I believe that this internship would be the perfect opportunity for me to learn and grow. I am always looking for ways to challenge myself and I can assure you that no challenge is too big for me. Plus, the thought of being a part of a company that is constantly innovating and changing the game is beyond exciting for me.
I have also done my research on the role and I must say, I am impressed. The UX Design Intern position at Google seems like the perfect blend of creativity, problem-solving, and user-centric thinking. Not to mention, the chance to work with some of the most brilliant minds in the industry is a dream come true for any aspiring designer.
Now, let's talk about my skills. As a recent graduate with a degree in UX Design, I have a strong foundation in design principles and user experience. I have also honed my skills through various internships and projects, where I have worked on creating user-friendly interfaces and conducting user research. I am well-versed in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma, and I am always eager to learn new tools and techniques to enhance my skills.
But what sets me apart from other applicants is my ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions. I am not afraid to take risks and push the boundaries of traditional design. In fact, I thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where I can use my creativity to its full potential. And let's not forget, my sense of humor is an added bonus that can bring a fresh perspective to any project.
I must also mention that I have a strong passion for user research. I believe that understanding the users' needs and behaviors is crucial in creating successful designs. I am skilled in conducting user interviews, creating surveys, and analyzing data to gain valuable insights. And with Google's vast user base, I am sure I will have endless opportunities to conduct user research and make a significant impact on the company's products.
Apart from my technical skills, I am also a team player and I thrive in a collaborative environment. I believe that great ideas come from working together and bouncing off each other's creativity. And what better place to do that than Google, where diversity and inclusivity are highly valued.
In addition to my skills, I am also passionate about giving back to the community. I have been a part of various volunteer programs where I have used my design skills to create impactful solutions for local non-profit organizations. I am excited about the opportunity to work with Google's philanthropic arm, Google.org, and contribute to making a positive impact on society.
I also want to take this opportunity to mention my love for your company culture. Google has always been known for its fun and quirky work environment, and that is something that truly resonates with me. After all, who doesn't want to work in a place where you can ride a slide to get to your office or take a break and play a quick game of ping pong? I am ready to embrace the Googler life and bring my own unique flavor to the mix.
In conclusion, I am beyond excited about the prospect of being a part of the Google team and I am confident that I have the skills and personality to excel in the UX Design Intern position. I am eager to learn from the best and contribute my own ideas and creativity to help make Google products even more user-friendly and innovative.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and considering me for this position. I look forward to hearing back from you and hopefully, joining the Google family.
Sincerely,
Eric Rice (aka your next UX Design Intern)
