Dear Emma,
I am writing to apply for the position of Literary Editor at Perkisie. I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in English and Creative Writing. I am passionate about writing and poetry, and I have experience with research and editing from my coursework and previous internships.
I am particularly interested in this position because of my interest in working with emerging writers. I believe that every writer has something unique to offer, and I am excited to help writers develop their voices and hone their craft. As a Literary Editor, I would be responsible for reading submissions, providing feedback to writers, and helping to select pieces for publication. I would also be involved in the editing process, working with writers to make sure their work is the best it can be.
I am eager to use my skills and experience to help Perkisie continue to be a leading literary journal. I am excited to work with you to discover and publish new voices in poetry and prose. I believe that my skills and experience make me an excellent candidate for this position, and I look forward to contributing to Perkisie's success.
Sincerely,
Sophie Perk
