Counseling Center Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Manager, I am Alonso Manon Mateos and I am interested in the Counseling Center Student Assistant position. I am a sophomore at the University of Michigan and I am majoring in psychology. I am a people person and I enjoy helping others. I think that this position would be a great fit for me because I would be able to help students with their academic and personal problems. I have experience working with children and adolescents as a camp counselor and a babysitter. I have also volunteered at a hospital in the psychiatric unit. I am familiar with different counseling techniques and I am comfortable talking to people about sensitive topics. I am a patient person and I have the ability to listen attentively. I am also able to keep confidential information private. I think that I would be a great asset to the Counseling Center. I am eager to help students in any way possible and I am passionate about psychology. I am excited to learn more about counseling and to gain experience in this field.
