Cook County Government Cover Letter

Dear Commissioner's Offices, I am interested in the Communications & Constituent Affairs Associate position with Cook County Government. This particular position interests me because of my interest in public affairs and my skills in writing and communications. I have a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also have experience working in the public affairs field, specifically in the area of writing and communications. In my previous job, I was responsible for writing and distributing press releases, as well as managing the media relations for my organization. I am confident that I have the skills and experience necessary to be successful in this position. In addition to my writing and communications experience, I also have experience working with the public. I have worked as a customer service representative for a large retail company and I have also volunteered with a number of community organizations. I am confident that I have the interpersonal skills necessary to be successful in this position. I am excited about the opportunity to use my skills and experience to help Cook County Government communicate with its constituents.
