Dear Sir Mark Herman,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Daniel Matarlo and I am writing to you today to express my interest in the position of Purposive Communication at your esteemed institution. I must say, I was drawn to this position like a moth to a flame, and I just couldn't resist the urge to apply.
First and foremost, I must commend you on your choice of job title. I mean, "Purposive Communication"? That is just sheer brilliance. It's like you took the words "purpose" and "communication" and made them do the tango together. I can already tell that this position is going to be a perfect fit for me, as I have always been a fan of creative and catchy titles.
Now, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a recent graduate with a degree in Communication Studies and a passion for all things communication-related. I have always been a chatterbox, and my friends and family can attest to that. But don't worry, I know when to zip it and listen too. Communication is a two-way street after all.
Speaking of streets, I must say that the road that led me to your company was quite an interesting one. You see, I was browsing through job listings one day, when I stumbled upon your ad for the position of Purposive Communication. My initial thought was, "What the heck is that?" But then I read the job description and I was like, "Oh my goodness, this is perfect for me!"
The more I read about the position, the more I realized that it was tailor-made for my skills and interests. You are looking for someone who is a master of words, a pro at public speaking, and a wizard at written communication. Well, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I am all of those things and more. I have been told that I have the gift of gab, and I am not one to argue with compliments.
But my communication skills are not just limited to talking and writing. I am also a pro at non-verbal communication. You know, the subtle gestures, facial expressions, and body language that can speak volumes without saying a single word. I have been practicing my non-verbal communication since I was a kid, and I must say, I have mastered the art of the eye roll and the raised eyebrow. Trust me, they come in handy when dealing with difficult people.
Apart from my excellent communication skills, I also have a few other tricks up my sleeve that I believe will make me an asset to your company. I am a quick learner and I am not afraid to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. I am also a team player and I thrive in a collaborative environment. I believe that great ideas are born when people from different backgrounds and perspectives come together, and I am always up for a good brainstorming session.
Now, let's talk about your company. I must say, I am impressed. Your school has a reputation for being one of the best in the country, and I can see why. Your commitment to providing quality education and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for your students is truly admirable. I can only imagine the level of communication skills your students possess, and I am excited at the prospect of being a part of that.
I must also mention that I am a big fan of your school's mascot. I won't reveal it here, but let's just say that it's an animal known for its intelligence and problem-solving skills. I think it's a perfect representation of what your school stands for, and I would be honored to be a part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking institution.
In addition to my communication skills, I also have experience in organizing and managing events. During my time in university, I was a part of the organizing committee for our annual communication festival. It was a huge success, and I was responsible for coordinating and managing the speakers, workshops, and entertainment for the event. I must say, I have never been more proud of my organizational skills. My friends even joked that I should add "Event Planner Extraordinaire" to my resume. I am also proficient in various computer programs, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, which I believe will come in handy in this role.
I must admit, I am not a fan of cover letters. I find them to be tedious and sometimes a little too serious. But I must say, I have enjoyed writing this one. It's not every day that I come across a position that excites me as much as this one does. I am determined to get this job, and I will do whatever it takes to impress you and the rest of the team during the interview process.
Thank you for taking the time to read my somewhat unconventional cover letter. I hope it has made you smile and given you a glimpse into my personality. I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further with you in person.
Best regards,
Daniel Matarlo
