Dear [Internship Coordinator],
I am writing to express my interest in the MSU Student Internship position at Columbus Orthopedic. My name is Riley Bland and I am a highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individual with a strong passion for orthopedic medicine. I am confident that my skills and experiences make me a perfect fit for this internship opportunity.
I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Mississippi State University, with a focus on Pre-Physician Assistant studies. As a dedicated student, I have been consistently maintaining a high GPA in my major. My academic coursework has provided me with a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, which I believe will be beneficial for this internship.
What caught my attention about Columbus Orthopedic is the commitment to providing the best care for their patients and their reputation for excellence in orthopedic services. I have been following your company’s work for quite some time now and I am impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and the team of highly skilled healthcare professionals. I am eager to learn from such a reputable organization and be a part of the team that is making a positive impact in the community.
I am particularly interested in this position because of the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas. My previous experiences have prepared me for this internship. I am BLS and CPR certified, and I have completed a Physician Assistant clinic and surgical job shadowing program, as well as Physical Therapist job shadowing. These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals in an orthopedic setting.
In addition to this, I have also completed over 40 hours of EMS observations with the local fire department. This has allowed me to witness first-hand how emergency situations are handled and the importance of teamwork and quick decision-making in such high-stress environments. I believe these experiences have prepared me to handle the challenges of this internship and contribute to the success of Columbus Orthopedic.
Furthermore, I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with electronic medical records. I am confident that these skills, combined with my passion for orthopedics, will allow me to excel in this internship and make a positive impact on your organization.
As a Starkville native, I am familiar with the community and I am committed to giving back to my hometown. I am excited about the opportunity to work with Columbus Orthopedic, and I would be honored to contribute my skills and knowledge to benefit the community. I am aware of the reputation of Columbus Orthopedic for providing a supportive and nurturing environment for their interns, and I am eager to be a part of it.
In conclusion, I am highly interested in the MSU Student Internship at Columbus Orthopedic and I am confident that my skills, experiences, and passion for orthopedics make me a suitable candidate for this position. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the success of your organization and learn from the best in the field. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
Sincerely,
