Throughout my career, I have held various positions in both academic and administrative roles, including my most recent role as Director of Oral Health Directorate at the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, Sudan. One of my greatest strengths is my strategic planning skills and ability to develop effective annual plans and policies at all levels, from district to federal. I have a strong understanding of health systems and have successfully implemented monitoring and evaluation frameworks for development projects. In fact, I have received recognition for my work in this area and have been invited to present my findings at various conferences and workshops. In addition to my technical skills, I am a strong leader and have a proven track record of successfully coordinating and collaborating with various departments and agencies. I am able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My excellent oral and written communication skills have also been essential in my roles, as I have been responsible for attending meetings, writing reports, and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences. I have also worked with project management software such as MS Project and have experience using EndNote for reference management. I am a quick learner and am always willing to adapt to new technologies and systems. In my previous role, I was responsible for enforcing oral health legislation and regulations in Khartoum State. I also played a key role in the development of various oral health care programs, including the School Oral Health Care Program for Basic School Children, Early Detection, Control and Prevention of Oral Cancer, and Oral Health Care Program for Pregnant Women. These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of the importance of preventive and accessible healthcare, as well as the challenges that come with implementing such programs.
